Some of the best stuff from our current Draft is stuff like Kids early picks. Those exchanges were great. You had Bret bitching about everything, Benoit not being able to take Bret's bitching any longer so he offs him, Jake passed out thru the entire murder, Orton shitting on Jakes's snake and RVD sitting there ripping bongers.
There's some serious storyline shit there. I'd watch that territory for sure.

My thoughts on it are one and done. Hogan is Hogan. One guy, every gimmick. Also I’d say drafting Harlem Heat means you get Book & Stevie. Someone else can’t pick Booker singles. Unless they pick Booker first as a singles, then you’re screwed on Harlem Heat. I absolutely hate this. Really wish you guys would consider not drafting tag teams. Let the roster shape your tags. If you are on a run of drafting top talent maybe you end up taking Stevie Ray late or Goldust late to put Booker in tag division. |

I really think drafting tag teams is going to create a lot of bullshit. Draft one talent at a time and you have to create tag teams out of your roster from there. Some will be actual tag teams of the past, some you will just have to pair and book that way. Add 12 single picks to the draft and then when the draft is done, we all have to announce our six tag teams in our territory. Drafting two guys at once is really stupid and all the cheap ways to grab additional top talent.

One final thing on tags, it’s already hard enough to keep track of picks, especially with a roster this size. Tags make it more work.

Here's the thing with tag teams. We're only doing 6 of them per team so it should be fairly simple to come up with traditional tag teams. The general rule of thumb will be what is the wrestler best known for. Which is why I'm banning Stone Cold/Triple H, Hogan/Macho as teams. Because in all 4 cases they were clearly more successful & known for their singles runs. I'm also adding Undertaker/Kane to the banned list. And perhaps several others.
Here's a scenario, if you want to draft Sting/Darby as a tag team, I would disallow that. Sting is FAR more known as a singles wrestler.
If you want to draft Sammy Guevera/Darby as a tag team - fine. All good.
Here's another general rule of thumb for tag teams, don't be a penile and try to pull some sneaky shit.
Additionally, there's no Freebirds rule. If you're taking the Freebirds, you have to specify which 2.

We all know what qualifies as a legit tag team. Just because WWE throws together randoms to be champs shouldn’t qualify in this thing.
If there’s any debate on someone’s pick, I say we vote.
I would say Faces of Fear or Powers of Pain are allowed for Barbarian. But I would say the Colossal Connection wouldn’t qualify for Haku and Andre considering they were a team for like 3 months and had a handful of matches.

After I look at my roster I may decide Earthquake and Yokozuna create a tag team called “ Force Majeure” managed by Pat Patterson. We have a group of creative board members. I’m dying to hear some of the tag teams we end up having to create. And again, this doesn’t stop you from drafting Animal and Hawk in separate rounds. It might even create some trade situations. Let’s make this an actual fantasy draft. I’ve said my peace. |

My case in point, Randomone and KS already disagree on a tag team. Drop the rule. Open this up and make it fun. I want a scenario where Kid has to create a tag team with Mortis and General Rection.

The Rockers were a legitimate tag team for 7 years and maybe the best tag team in the world in a 6-month window. Why let someone draft the tag team and remove Shawn Michaels as a solo? If someone drafts Shawn and Marty individually to form that tag team as one of six tag teams we need, great. But don’t let someone draft the full team in one pick.
I’m telling you that adding the tag team rule where we need six teams, but you can’t “draft tag teams” will be way more fun.

Why should we have to answer these questions, right? Again, your Bushwhackers are probably safe in drafting one guy at a time. People are acting like they won't be able to form any traditional tag teams this way. It's just not true. Let the draft play out. I want us as bookers to look at the roster and say "you know what, I'm going to do Kane and RVD as a tag team because I already have X,Y,Z in my upper midcard."

Draft Tag Teams or Draft singles Totally agree we need 6 tag teams formed one way or the other. 100% on board with that and that is part of the fun. I vote we draft all individuals and form our tag teams (traditional or not) from there. |

So it appears as though Woodridge, Speeps & Drop In are in favor of drafting individuals and eventually forming tag teams with 12 of them.
jackref & randomone seem to be opposed.
Still need to hear from Kid, drebin & me.
