Wait, it came back tonight for 1 episode and now it's not returning until 2021? Yeah this was always the finale. Then they announced 6 "bonus" episodes would be tacked on to season 10. And then the final season would start in October 2021. |

I enjoyed the episode. I don't remember exactly how they all got to be in that spot though to be honest. But was a decent ending to that story arc. I will say Maggie coming back with a ninja was surprising.
So are these next 6 episodes just filler episodes or what? I am confused if these weren't meant to be part of the season and also then why they would delay having last nights season finale so far out from all the other episodes.

How has Beta gathered a bazillion walkers unnoticed? We're 10 years into this (more in their world) you have to think at least a few states worth of walkers have been wiped out.
Also I'm only 30 minutes in and how many times is the main group going to come up with boneheaded moves that fuck them?
It's like WWE is writing for the babyfaces.

I started watching Walking Dead World Beyond because it was on the DVR and figured why not. It is beyond dumb. The premise is interesting, but the believability factor (even for the already flawed universe of WD) is so ridiculously low. The kids are afraid to kill Empties (their term for Walkers) and the protector dood is not good at killing them either - they do more running from them. I do like we get a glimpse of the helicopter people and some expanded view of what is going on outside of the other two shows, but unless this leads to Rick showing up and taking this whole thing down I don't even know what the point is. The one saving thing is one of the main characters Hope is a smoke show. I have watched 4 episodes so far and I am rooting for the Empties to win.

I tried watching the first episode but bailed halfway through. Just not good, and I don't give a shit about the characters. I'm sure it will eventually tie into the main story like Fear did, but I just don't care anymore.

OK, I have caught up and watched all 7 current episodes available. It is so dumb, on so many levels. Part of me gets what they are trying to do - foster hope and teens can change the world type messaging, but it just falls so flat and there is no fucking way all them wouldn't have died within 5 min of leaving the walls. The last few episodes they were preyed on by grifters, poorly I may add, and then befriended them, and then watched a puppet show together. I shit you not. I really really want a horde of walkers to just kill them all.
I thought I was being harsh and overly critical, so I checked out some reviews of what others thought of this show. I am being kind compared to some reviews LOL This whole franchise is going to be ruined by whoever is currently in charge of this dogshit. The only smart thing the runners of this World Beyond show have done is announce it will only be 2 season of 10 episodes each. No dragging it out forever like the other shows.

Scott Gimple was such a colossal fuckup with the main series that they promoted him to be in charge of the entire "universe" and not the main series.
He took over Fear after it was getting decent reviews and promptly turned it to shit. Meanwhile Angela Chang took over Walking Dead and seasons 9 and 10 were better than the previous 3 or 4 seasons.
It's like Jerry Reinsdorf or the McCaskeys run AMC.

Fine little episode to re-introduce Maggie and her new crew.
The countdown is officially on for this series to wrap. I remember like 12 peoples names out of the 579 people on this show anymore.
I do admit I missed Maggie and her hotness.

So the season finale last night was probably my favorite episode since the early days. Fucking fantastic. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a phenomenal actor and you tend to forget that. Glad this focused on his background and that they got his actual wife to play Lucille.
I'm excited for this show to finally be put out of its misery starting in August, but it was nice to love an episode for a change instead of just seeing how long the episode has left.

All these backstory episodes sucked except for Neegan's. And I am glad he is now going back to Alexandria and giving Maggie the evil eye right back. Kind of bullshit that Darryl and Carol aren't sticking up for him more. He paid his dues and saved Alexandria and is a solid community member. Yes he killed Glenn and I get why Maggie can't forgive him but the others need to tell her to fuck off as she hasn't been there the past 7 years.

I liked some of the 2 part opener.
Eugene and the Commonwealth stuff was solid. The subway stuff was not.
