So I'm 4 episodes into Season 2, so I know a lot of shit is going to happen. However I see shirts that say House Lannister in stores and all I can think of is people who buy that fully support banging their sibling? Lannister's have given me zero reason to support them thus far. Aside from Dinklage. Jamie sucks and Cersei is a bitch on wheels. I will say this about Lannister warnings. If a girl tells you Cersei is her favorite character, feets don't fail me now...........

The conclusion to one of the greatest shows ever made.

The conclusion to one of the greatest shows ever made. That was not even close to a satisfying ending to the one of the greatest shows ever made. That was rushed herky jerky throw some shit at the wall and people will love it writing. Angry Grey Worm is going to let the Tyrion scene play out and then get on a ship and just be "you cool Westeros, smell ya later!" No. Banishing Jon Snow to an order that no longer exists because the threat is gone? What? No one but Dany's followers gave a shit that Jon killed Dany, and they all got on boats. Stupid. Beyond stupid. You are shitting in my mouth and calling it a sundae stupid.

The conclusion to one of the greatest shows ever made. It's really not. Seasons 7 and 8 were abominable once we've seen everything.

It could take me years to understand all of this hatred. It would be impossible to give every character a proper ending. Not quite NXT, but definitely not WWE.

Characters you were invested in made decisions simply because the plot needed it. Not because it was something the character would do. The shortening of the last 2 seasons hurt, and in retrospect the signs were there in season 6 but it was easy to ignore.

Exactly. It wasn't the ending but how they got there. You can't have this incredible plot and character driven show reduced to nonsense. It is insulting.

Varys - Never would have openly conspired or told ANYONE his plot. Tyrion - Never would have been as "dumb" as he was written the past 3 seasons. Every choice he made was the wrong one and it was very heavy handed that he was incompetent as Hand of the Queen. We all know Tyrion is not incompetent. Grey Worm - An Unsullied doesn't/can't fall in love - but OK for TV he and Missandei do. After she dies he is in a murderous rage but still sees to bring Tyrion to a bunch of nobles and get his "justice", but turns into Tyrion giving a soliloquy in chains and somehow Bran is king and Grey Worm is totes whatevs with that. So many things wrong with all of that. THose are just the ones off top of my head.

Jaime leaves Cersei and finally recognizes her for the monster she is, and then after nailing Brienne peaces out to go back while saying he never cared about the innocents. Despite that being his whole reason for becoming the Kingslayer in the first place. Varys and Tyrion becoming stupid.

Despite that being his whole reason for becoming the Kingslayer in the first place. Varys and Tyrion becoming stupid. I get the Jaime Lannister story 1000%. I've luckily not had it in real life, but being a good person in bad situations is being amplified by 1,000,000. Do I know people that will always fall to that original horrible person. Yes. Varys was being Varys. We all slept on him trying to poison Dany. It wasn't just words, which he was trying too with the ravens. Plus, he told her, to her face, if I betray you, murder me a couple seasons earlier. Tyrion was ultimately vindicated by acknowledging he's made mistakes but will ultimately be more beneficial alive. The human element involved here is a thing.

Bran is the real villain of the show.
He made sure Jon was told that he was a secret Targaryen to throw turmoil into his relationship with Dany. He made sure to turn down the Lord of Winterfell so he'd be free to ascend to the throne.
Hell he probably warged into Dany for her strafing run on King's Landing and stayed until Jon killed her.
All to become King.

So that's the end of the mutineers at Craster's Keep. Jon is reunited with Ghost, Bran Hodor'd up and killed Lock and took off for to find the Children of the Forest with the Reeds and Summer, and no Coldhands. Tommen is King and Margery and Cersei have a heart to heart talk. As do Tywin and Cersei. And Oberyn and Cersei. Littlefinger is in the Vale and already married to Lyssa, who knows who Sansa is and tells her Sweet Robin as well. So much for Alayne. This show is going to go off the rails in seasons 7 and 8 because they're flying through storylines. Prophetic.

They killed The Long Night one earlier in the day.
Probably a good idea to stick with the Targaryens.

I'm watching the New Year's marathon of the final season. We, as fans of anything, are nuts. These episodes have such depth, payoff, etc. So great.

Last episodes were not good.
I enjoy reading the books again, as well as watching some early episodes.
There's some good stuff in the mess of season 8 too.

I have not done the books, like KS in grammar school. But there's a ton of good and they left at least a movie, if not an extended series, in the end.

I love the world building in some of the recent books like "Fire and Blood" and "World of Ice and Fire".
It's gotten me interested in the world again after the messy ending of the show.
I will eventually rewatch all the episodes.
