Cesaro jobbed to Ryback at the Smackdown taping last night.
Jesus christ just let this guy go already.
There was like one or two guys that were as hot as him coming out of Wrestlemania(Daniel Bryan and Lesnar). He was having great matches leading up to WM and than gets the win in the battle royal at Mania. Seriously how bad do they need a top heel right now? Your two top heels are Seth Rollins and Kane for christ sake. Instead this fucking guy is doing jobs to EVERYONE. I really don't understand how you can have NXT, which is always so damn good and than just mess up so much on the shows that you are making money on.
Fuck

I'd say this is all due to him saying recently that seeing Cena/Orton over & over again is boring and something he doesn't want to watch.
But looking back, he hasn't done shit since like June when they separated him from Heyman. He's had solid mini feuds with Sheamus & Ziggler over their titles, but they never pulled the trigger.
I'll also go on record saying I was super pissed they weren't doing anything with him for a while, to the point of having him lose to RVD (who was leaving in less than a month) on a friggin pre-show at Summerslam (he wasn't completely buried at that point), but folks said give it time. Flash forward to now, he's jobbing to Ryback & though main eventing Smackdown against Ambrose, it results in him having a pumpkin on his head.
All that being said, WWE can't say it's due to his performance in the ring, he's one of the top 3 workers they have on the main roster. This is purely them not wanting to do anything with him & are happy with him being that guy who puts over the faces strongly without really getting much in return.
Makes me wish they never split him from Heyman. We could've been seeing Paul E on TV every week & who knows where Cesaro would be on the card. Perhaps still feuding for the US or IC title sure, but he certainly wouldn't be jobbing to Ryback if he was still with Heyman.

– WWE recently issued a survey asking fans if they would like to see the return of cruiserweights to the company. WWE asked fans if they would like cruiserweights to have a weekly show on the WWE Network, be used as part of NXT, be used on Main Event or be used on RAW and SmackDown.

I'm sure I'm in the minority on this but I'm not a fan of the jumpy, flippy cruiserweights. And on top of that, it starts getting messing if you integrate them onto the main shows. Suddenly some booker or promoter will get the idea that Flippy Smith should be the guy to take down Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania. So with that said, I'd like to see them get their own show on the Network and be kept far away the Big 2 (Raw & Smackdown)
I guess I've never understood what the cut off was. How is Samoa Joe an X-Division guy, for instance?
But then there's guys like Jericho, Punk, Bryan, Ambrose, Rollins - who I absolutely love. Aren't they kinda in the cruiserweight weight class or no?
I just don't get the whole thing.

Jericho was a cruiserweight.

Jericho was a cruiserweight. See, that's what I'm saying. But then he's a heavyweight and so forth. And on and on. Now if you want to define cruiserweight with the weight class and styles of guys like Jericho, Bryan, Punk, Guerrero, Rollins, Ambrose, etc........then I'm totally down with it. But if it's primarily little jumpy, flippy, primarily masked guys, well then I'll pass.

I think you're confusing the Mexican Lucha Libre with traditional Cruiserweight (or Light Heavyweight).
The former can be kind of goofy and weird, while the latter is usually awesome.
Young Bucks are Light Heavyweights. So is KENTA, Devitt, Richochet, Rocky Romero, Alexander Kozlov to name a few.

Yeah, I think I'm primarily thinking X-Division. Sort of.
If it's guys like the Bucks, KENTA, Devitt, Jericho etc....... then they don't really need their own show. Integrate them to all shows.

Everything stated is why I'd love to see a WCW Cruiserweight division in the current WWE. Not everyone was a flippy spot monkey. However, one flippy spot monkey per show would be cool.

I'd choose Super Calo & Ciclope over Los Matadores any day of the week.
If they bring it back, I'm demanding Jamie "By God" Noble be their corporate champion.

The Brock Lesnar contract situation will be a very interesting story in 2015. It will be interesting to see how WWE handles this because one could argue that Brock Lesnar’s price tag is not enought to justify using him for shows outside of the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. Battleground, in July, did 31,000 buys on pay-per-view in North America without Brock Lesnar on the show. Night of Champions, in September, did 30,000 in North America and that show was headlined by the John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar rematch. Also, worldwide in recent months the buys for shows without Lesnar were more than shows that had Lesnar on them. He did have value in some of early pay-per-view matches and you could argue that the Night of Champions build did no favors for that show. SummerSlam did hold up well though.
As most know by now, Lesnar’s contract expires at WrestleMania. Lesnar is open to doing more than just the Rumble and Mania, but the economics seem to show that his money deal is too high to make sense for anything other than Rumble and Mania. The idea for Lesnar was for him to lose to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. That would make Reigns the new face of the company. The question is, will the match have as big of an impact if people know that it’s going to be Lesnar’s last match? There was an expectation at one time that they would sign Lesnar to a new deal and he would probably have a babyface run. It could still happen but it would depend on whether or not WWE feels they can afford his price tag or if he’s willing to lower his price tag. Also, he will play WWE against UFC because he’ll likely get a good UFC offer.
The idea was for Lesnar to beat Cena in January so that the win by Roman Reings at WrestleMania would look even more impressive. But if the company decides that they can’t afford to sign Lesnar to a new deal then they’d have to rethink their plans for the Lesnar vs. Cena match at the Royal Rumble. The only other alternative would be for Cena to beat Lesnar and then have Cena lose to Reigns because the whole plan for Reigns was for it to be a huge WrestleMania main event since it would be his big inauguration as the company’s new top star. They could also put the title on Rollins and have Reigns beat Rollins at Mania but that would not have as much impact as a match with Lesnar or Cena.

Everyone who appeared in the WWE 2K15 game recently got another check for $10,000. That is larger than the usual third check for the game. The first check was about $12,000 and there was a middle check that was a few thousand. Talent has been paid roughly $25,000 for the game. Last years checks were down because THQ declared bankruptcy. $25,000 is nowhere near what veteran talent is used to getting for video game revenue.
In the past it was $75,000 so the veteran talent is not happy. The checks this year are a quarter behind so the check they just got was for the period that ended at the end of June so they should be getting a bigger check based on the current quarter revenues. Revenues come in a little bit slower based on the new 2K deal.
Royalties are way down because the licensing division is way down.

As most of you know by now, Smackdown is moving to Thursday nights. WWE made it official today with the press release below.
SMACKDOWN® MOVES TO THURSDAY NIGHT ON SYFY
NEW YORK – November 6, 2014 – The show that averages 3.1 million viewers on Friday nights and beats all Friday primetime viewing on any cable network is moving to Thursday nights on Syfy beginning January 15th at 8pm ET. With nearly 800 original episodes,SmackDown is the second longest-running weekly episodic program in U.S. television history, only behind WWE’s other flagship program, Monday Night Raw®.
“Quite simply, more young men watch television on Thursday night than on Fridays,” said Michael Engleman, Executive Vice President, Marketing, Digital and Global Brand Strategy, Syfy. “Among Men 18-49, PUTS are 15 percent higher compared to Fridays, expanding the potential audience for SmackDown. Since the majority of broadcast programming skews female, we’re also using Thursday nights to counter program.”
“WWE’s sizable and passionate fan base make SmackDown the #1 entertainment show on Syfy and the most-watched, regularly-scheduled program among key demographics on the network,” said Michelle Wilson, Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer, WWE. “We look forward to bringing the WWE audience to Thursday nights on Syfy.”
Over the past 15 years, SmackDown has been broadcast from 170 different venues, in 148 cities and towns, in seven different countries including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Iraq, Japan, Italy and Mexico. The name SmackDown came from WWE Superstar Dwayne “The Rock®” Johnson’s popular catchphrase, “Lay the Smackdown®.”

WWE star John Cena filmed a guest appearance on the NBC sitcom "Parks & Recreation" this past Monday in Los Angeles according to a report by Mike Johnson. It is said that this is the reason why Cena did not appear on this past Monday's 11/3 WWE RAW in Buffalo.

Could John Cena be the newest member of Entertainment 720? Could he join Mouse Rat?
I love Parks & Rec, so it'll be interesting to see what he does.

Great, now who's going to job to Rusev every other week on RAW?
Sadly assuming they're at the point with him now that Kofi fills that spot.
Sorry to change topics, but fuck, what another missed opportunity. You could've had Woods as this Malcom X like character and Kofi & Big E could've been his guys. They teamed great on the house show circuit when I saw them. Now you have Woods essentially being a James Brown character? So we're re-hashing Ernest Miller shit again? Woods is talented, he can wrestle, but as soon as he got the callup, they put him with Truth & he was forgotten immediately. Kofi they've seemed to have lost interest in long ago, no clue why. Seems like they only let him have his spot in the Rumble & that's it.
Needless to say I'm still annoyed the New Nation never materialized for more than 1 week.
