I will be reviewing RAW tonight if I don't fall asleep from boredom. Tonights recap will be tracking the number of times they say the word "Network".

Vince McMahon, evidently dissatisfied with the crowd’s energy at a taping of WWE Smackdown in Liverpool, unleashed a whopper of a heel promo. Cageside Seats transcribed:
“What’s the matter with you people? You’re sitting on your hands out here, you’re not having a good time, you’re not cheering, you’re not booing, and why? They cheered louder in Sheffield, they cheered louder in Manchester, they cheer louder all over the UK except here in Liverpool. The guy in the front row over here looking at Jericho (makes face). Guy next to him (makes face). ‘I’m from Liverpool. I’m from Liverpool too.’ Come on, what’s the matter with you? Have some fun here tonight, Liverpool. Liverpool; what kind of name is Liverpool? Liverpool sounds like an old man’s skin disease, doesn’t it? Liverpool, kind of like ebola, it just crawls up on ya. Come on and have some fun here tonight, damn it.”
Because it’s Vince, you can never rule out the possibility that this was an elaborate work as opposed to an impulsive temper tantrum that will be perceived by many as having been in poor taste. WWE Network subscriptions aren’t where anyone would like them to be, the television product has been stagnant since WrestleMania, and maybe Vince is about to reinject himself and some new juice into the storyline.

I havent read spoilers yet, but if this whole thing isn't actually aired, I assume they'll edit the cheers & boos it got into the show where the fans weren't reacting enough.
I bet it's half & half with Vince. Has to still sting that fuckin ego to know he's not a Billionaire anymore.

Bryan Alvarez noted on Tuesday morning’s Wrestling Observer radio that The Bunny vs. Adam Rose is penciled in for the Survivor Series pre-show. Rose is strongly teasing a heel turn.
I would presume that he would be a full heel by the time this match takes place.

Just to piss off CIJ some more, here's more Del Rio news. They reached an out of court settlement. WWE typically does not like to settle with people and would rather fight in court but they were very concerned with this situation and they had no choice because there could be too much potential negative backlash if this went to court. Alberto got almost everything he wanted out of the settlement. The only thing he wanted but didn’t get was a public apology. While we don’t know this for sure, presumably the company apologized to him privately. WWE did not want to come off like a company that was insensitive to racial issues so that’s why Alberto got what he wanted. He got a full release, the money owed to him, and he can now wrestle anywhere he wants. News from WrestlingObserver.com was used in this post. - Here is a recent TV breakdown of viewership for WWE’s Raw, Smackdown, and Total Divas, courtesy of The Wrestling Observer.
* The average viewer (for the three shows) is 41.4 years old. The report indicates that viewership is getting older instead of younger.
* Audience viewership is 63% male. Total Divas skews number down a bit because it would be closer to 68% for just Raw and Smackdown.
* The viewership for three shows is less than 19% under the age of 17. 22% of the viewership is between 18 and 34, and 22% between 35 and 49. 37% is over the age of 50.

I'd be interested to see what the demographics were for shows in the 85-90 range.

Every damn thing I read about the E baffles me more than the last thing I just read about them. They are so fucked.
So they're largest demographic is the over 50 crowd at 37%. So what does the E do? They break out the Over The Top network because as we all know, the over 50 crowd is clearly the leader in breaking away from the norm/habits they've now been doing for a good 30-40 years. Clearly the odds on favorite of a demographic to accept and seek out change.

The E clearly should've just been a cable channel long before they ever thought of doing this Network thing.

AlternativeNation.net has up a new interview with WWE Hall of Famer Adam ‘Edge’ Copeland. In the interview, Edge criticizes aspect of the Attitude Era, gives his thoughts on a possible John Cena heel turn, gives his thoughts on Christian’s future, discusses chair shots and concussions, the WWE Network not working for him, his respect for Sami Zayn, how WWE could improve its PG product, if he’ll ever return to WWE, the Hardy Boyz, and his thoughts on WWE’s last minute booking changes. CLICK HERE to read the full interview. On WWE Network and Sami Zayn: They finally gave me the WWE Network. Once they asked me to do a show on it, they said, ‘Do you want it by the way?’ I said, ‘Yeah sure, why not?’ But for whatever reason, it doesn’t seem to want to work up here in Canada. Every time I try to watch something it just freezes, so I haven’t really watched a whole lot of stuff. Before it was on the Network, it was on Sports Central up here, and if I was home from set, I would try to watch it Thursday nights. Then it got taken off Sports Central, I got the Network, and the Network didn’t work, so it’s kind of been out of my hands, I haven’t been able to watch it. But I know Sami Zayn, I’ve known him for a couple of years now, but I’ve always enjoyed what he’s done, when he was El Generico too. On Christian possibly retiring: “Well he’s my best friend, so I know what’s going on with him more than anybody else. But he’s at that kind of point where you sit back and look and go, okay I’m definitely closer to the end of my career than the beginning. After awhile your body just starts telling you, this is a difficult job to do. When you’re in your 20’s and you think you’re indestructible, you can bounce back, but it gets harder when you start climbing into your 40’s.” On the Attitude Era: “I do think what’s been good, people are always talking about the Attitude Era, and all of this and all of that, but if you watch back, sometimes the matches weren’t that great because we had 2 minutes. It’s not possible to have a good wrestling match in 2 minutes, you can’t tell a story, you can tell a haiku. Since the PG era, I know when I was in matches, I had half an hour sometimes, 20 minutes, there I can tell a story. To me that’s the meat and potatoes of the whole thing, it all boils down to the wrestling at the end of the day. The Attitude Era was a lot about the hijinks backstage, and the matches kind of got forgotten about. It’s looked at with rose colored glasses because the ratings were good, and it was working for obvious reasons, but to me those obvious reasons were characters like Stone Cold, who would then get in and have a long match at a PPV. Characters like The Rock who would be entertaining, but still at the end of the day, they could go. I think now, you need a little bit of both. www.alternativenation.net/adam-edge-copeland-interview/

Fuck
- A report from The Wrestling Observer has more details on the apparent backstage meeting with Rey Mysterio and WWE officials regarding Mysterio’s future in the company. The meeting included Triple H and Vince McMahon and as previously reported, Mysterio was apparently not interested in returning to WWE TV.
The meeting reportedly took place in Buffalo, New York on November 3 before Raw. McMahon apparently wants Mysterio to return to the WWE, but Mysterio is said to not be interested. The meeting was run by McMahon, despite Triple H being in charge of the overall day-to-day operations in the company.
While the meeting apparently did not go well, it is believed that Mysterio will work out a compromise with the company to work some more dates before the end of his current WWE contract, which is set to expire at the end of April 2015. This compromise could have Mysterio working regular dates from the period of now until WrestleMania 31.

Potentially great news!!! It appears that The Great Khali may no longer be with World Wrestling Entertainment. On Tuesday, Nov. 13, his profile on WWE.com was moved to the alumni section, as pictured below:Through the past year or two, The Great Khali hasn’t had any prominent feuds or storylines, instead being used for comic relief and squash matches. In early September, he was featured on “Monday Night Raw,” aiding John Cena, who had locked Paul Heyman away backstage, in an attempt to get his hands on Brock Lesnar. Khali served as a “protector” of Heyman. Khali’s last match at a pay-per-view came at “Battleground” on July 20, 2014. As of this writing, WWE has not confirmed a possible release of The Great Khali. Though, his bio on WWE.com is written in the past tense, as shown in this excerpt: “Everyone looked up to The Great Khali – whether you wanted to or not. That’s because the 7-foot-1, 347-pound skyscraper of a WWE Superstar couldn’t help but tower over all of the WWE Universe. Khali stood out from every crowd not only for his overwhelming size, but also for being the first to blaze a trail to WWE from his native India. His formative years might have inclined The Punjabi Giant toward some good-humored fun like dancing up a storm or courting a lucky lady for the “Kiss Cam,” but Khali frequently called upon his Rajput heritage to become a proud warrior in the ring.” Editor’s Note Wow. If he is indeed released, it’s about time. Still, I didn’t expect it to happen.

Hard to believe he's been there since 2006. It was almost uncomfortable to watch him wrestle because it almost seemed like his legs could snap at anytime.
The amount of broads he's made out with during his run was pretty impressive. That's probably the most impressive part of his time there. Mickie, Beth, Florence Henderson.........eh 2 out of 3 ain't bad I guess.

Wondering if the E should buy TNA and put it on the Network. It would be silly to do it now. They will still have an inflated value of a dead brand.

Triple H will announced on Friday’s edition of WWE Smackdown that if Team Cena loses the Survivor Series main event, then John Cena, Big Show, Ryback, Erick Rowan and Dolph Ziggler will all be fired.
This is a terrible stipulation. No one believes it and it adds nothing.
This month was a chance to have eyeballs on the Network and entice people to subscribe and they've blown it.
Fucking awful.

They are to the point that if they just did the complete opposite of every decision it would be a far better product.

So Sheamus joins the Authority because Cena didn't come down to help him on Monday. The Authority wins and fires everyone. Vince appears and hires them all back the same night. Hunter and Stephanie make faces. Sheamus starts a feud with Dolph Ziggler. Rinse and repeat.

Exactly.
How long was Cena fired during the Nexus angle? Maybe a week?
And then when Punk won at MITB? Was it even a night?
I wouldn't have minded a stipulation where they say if Cena loses, everyone else on his team is fired. That's more believable.

I think we'll be seeing a LOT of ol' Vinnie Mac these next couple months. Drop In I agree with what you said. Vince hires them all back & we get what, Vince vs The Authority? So dumb.
Why the fuck add this stip at the last show before the PPV? You couldn't even build off of it? They never have mentioned Cena has a title shot he won less than a month ago. Does this mean he loses it if he's fired?
I fear this will possibly end up being HHH with Steph in his corner vs The Rock with Vince in his corner at WrestleMania.
When will RKO come back? When will we ever see a World Title match again? So many pointless questions that need to be (not really) answered!

Post by Positivity Peeps on Nov 19, 2014 12:03:20 GMT -6
I don't think Vince is going to come back as a regular on TV.
The stipulations will be forgotten about in a month and the Authority will still be in charge.
And we'll all feel dumber.

The creative product (not roster) is getting to that point where i can't remember when it was worse. There are so many small parts of WWE and RAW I like, yet the entire 3 hour show. This is beyond frustrating.
Also, randomone, what do you have against The Rock vs Triple H? You don't think that'd be good? One of the greatest rivalries in the last 20 years...
