Apparently the book talks more about what happened and the future, but I like that they left it weird.
I'm a sucker for Sam Esmail though.

No spoilers (but we know their story), but The Iron Claw was phenomenal. Efron deserves award nominations. Put some fucking respect on Maura Tierney’s name! Newsradio 4 Life. Things I caught… Executive Producer - Maxwell Jacob Friedman Gino Hernandez - Ryan Nemeth Only bad casting was whoever was Ric Flair was like Young Rock bad acting (in ring only, him talking normally sounded like Flair ironic enough). His woooo sounded like a turkey gobbling. That was the only negative. I give it a solid 9/10 Holy hell. The guy playing Fritz makes up for any of the Flair silliness to come. I'm 10 minutes in.

30 minutes in and they did an amazing job. I thought the in-ring stuff would be awful but I love the way they shot it.

Wow. Better than advertised. There needs to be a warning on this film about that last lake scene though. Fritz would have been very disappointed in me.

The movie was phenomenal. People have about Zac Efron (justifiably so), but Holt McCallany as Fritz was just as great. Maybe even better.
It's insane that this movie got basically zero award buzz.

I actively didn't like the Dune part 1 movie when it first came out. No idea why but it bothered me how much people praised it.
With part 2 coming out, I decided to give it another shot and man I enjoyed the heck out of it.
Really looking forward to seeing part 2.

Oscars are tomorrow. In 2023, I watched…
164 movies 29 documentaries 10 short films
My Top 10 was 1. Past Lives 2. The Holdovers 3. Killers of the Flower Moon 4. Oppenheimer 5. The Iron Claw 6. John Wick: Chapter 4 7. Blackberry 8. Bottoms 9. Poor Things 10. Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse
I literally made a Top 100 list this year. But I’ll save you guys from having to read through that.

I'm ashamed to admit, I laughed at Cena's movie Ricky Stanicky.
It's so stupid, but something about it works. Mainly Cena.

White House Down was very enjoyable. Looked at some reviews afterwards. Some serious serious movie peeps out there. Bunch of curmudgeons in my estimation. I thoroughly enjoyed it and bawled like a little baby at the end.

Angel has Fallen is pretty similar to White House Down, right? VERY similar. I enjoyed it but due to having seen White House Down so recently, I saw where it was going after only like 20 minutes.

Axel F was a solid addition to the franchise all these years later. Sure everyone they brought back looks super old (minus Eddie Murphy, who doesn’t age), but the returns are fun and welcome.
I’d give it a B.
A Family Affair was not very good. Joey King was good, but Nicole Kidman’s face is so Botoxed up that it doesn’t move the entire movie and it’s incredibly distracting. We’re supposed to buy that Efron falls for the almost 60 year old Kidman. Ok then. It turns into a Hallmark movie somewhat. I give it a D.
This has been your movie update. I’ve cut back tremendously on movie watching this year so far, as last year was the most I had watched in any year at 200.

What the actual fuck was that?!?! How is that a movie? You know what. I am just going to pretend I never saw that and not think about it again.
