I read that Amy Adams purposely gained weight for that role. I'm surprised Amy Schumer wasn't cast. Looks like her type of movie.
Either way, I won't see it.

They probably wanted someone that isn't naturally insufferable. She wouldn't be turning into anything. Their target audience is women that think they're awesome they just have these damn responsibilities. |

Watched the original this afternoon for the first time in years.
Keaton was only in it for 17 minutes total. That’s a wild stat.

Yeah it's really a Winona Ryder/Geena Davis/Alec Baldwin movie.
Michael Keaton stole the show though.

So much fun. Does the original proud. Highly suggest watching it in theaters.
Great cast. Jenna Ortega was the perfect choice of Winona’s daughter. Catherine O’Hara always rules. Keaton is constantly badass.

I recommend watching the original once more before you go, just to brush up. I’m glad I did.
It wasn’t a childhood movie for me, so you might not need to.
It did help though.

So I watched Joker 2
It’s nowhere near the worst comic book movie ever (are people forgetting Madame Web from this very year?). It was incredibly dull and boring, though. The music (yeah, this is a fucking musical!) was the only positive I could give at times.
Not enough Catherine Keener.
Also this is back to back shit movies Joaquin has cranked out (yeah, haven’t forgot Napoleon, bub).

Shadow Strays on Netflix
If you liked the action in The Raid series, I recommend, it’s just a lot more gruesome and violent.
Crazy choreography for the fights.
Anyways, if you’re looking for an Indonesian action movie and I know you all are! Haha.

Mikey Madison from Better Things is incredible. Very funny in parts, super intense as well.
Going to take an awful lot to knock that from the top spot

And just when you thought it was dark, it got even darker. I never heard of the Raid series so will have to look that up next. Good recommendation! |

There’s an actual payoff to the Raid comparison in that movie, too!
If you like that kind of extended wild ass fight scenes, The Raid & Raid 2 are high recommendations
